How to Make Your Own Memory Foam Mattress At Home

I am sure you have heard a lot of great news about NASA's newest discovery for bed cushions - the memory foam mattress. The molding technology of the foam then goes back to its original state once the body is removed from it is something we all need to get the best support and comfort so that everyone of us will surely have a good night sleep.

A big percentage of people do not know that the real reason why they are having problems with back pain is because they are not taking too much attention to the kind of bed they have. They are not particular with their sleeping habits and they think that sleeping in any kind of position or place is more than enough to have the perfect rest to be energized for the next day. That is just so not true, and we all know the reason behind that.

Anyway, if you are one of those people who want to experience the benefits of the miracle memory foam mattress, but you are not willing to spend a lot for just foam, then you may want to consider making one for you. Yes you heard it right! I will give you tips on how to create one for you.

To start off, you must know that a memory foam mattress is made of four different layers of cushions. To check the different materials for the four layers, please refer to the list below:

• Bottom layer: 4 inches thick regular foam. Get a good one though because this bottom part layer will somehow serve as the foundation or the ones that gives total support to the entire bed.

• Third layer/ Second Bottom Layer: Egg crate foam type will be used. This will allow air to circulate so that it will not be too hot to sleep on.

• Second Layer / Second Top most layer: Get a visco elastic topper or pad with at least 5 inches thickness.

• Top most layers: on top of this second layer, you have the option to place at least 2 inches density foam to provide more support. This last layer is actually optional because you might not want a very thick mattress at all.

If you will calculate everything, the materials for this homemade memory foam mattress is just about $600, and that is way cheaper than getting the branded ones and readymade for about a thousand dollars at the very minimum.
